An All Star Launch
We recently had the opportunity to kick it at Converse – for their amazing Chuck II Carnival Children’s Launch Party! An amazing event celebrating Lil Kid’s favorite shoe brand.
Chuck II
Held at the beautiful Converse Soho Store location in Manhattan, the event was a shoe-in for one of the most highly anticipated launches of the year – the Children’s Chuck II Sneaker.
Hey Mr DJ
DJ Fulano , the incredible 11 year old DJ and rapper, was on point . The highly accomplished and famous DJ was of course the life of the party, and kept everyone in the groove with his amazing music selection. The lyrics of the hit song Uptown Funk “Livin’ it up in the city. Got Chucks on with Saint Laurent, Got kiss myself I’m so pretty” couldn’t have been more perfect for the event.
Creative Type
A customization counter was all the rage. Amazing electronic touch screens allowed for easy customization of totes, shoes, shirts, and more. Once the design was chosen, large in-house printers went to work, making the children’s vision come to life. Our lil guy created a tote complete with an apple icon and NYC insignia. Such a New Yorker.
Guitar Hero
Have you ever seen such a cool balloon? Love this amazing balloon guitar! An incredible balloon twister was in attendance, rocking the pint-sized guests with epic balloons.
Snack Attack
No bellies went hungry with our favorite FreshKids snacks on hand – including their delicious Popcorn, Pretzels and Puffs! Love that our favorite snacks are made with clean and simple ingredients, and are GMO and gluten free.
Turn off the lights… I’ll glow
The Chuck II Carnival had a number of activities and fun to keep kids on the run. A small dark room was also set up for Glow-in-the-dark fun – including a graffiti-style wall where budding artists could tag the wall and snap a selfie.
Brushing Up
Creativity continued throughout – including a paint your own tote station, with a rainbow of colorful paints and brush choices. Lil Kid loved mixing the paint to customize his own color, and exploring the different brush options. Love these amazing projects where kids can get their creativity flowing!
A shoe-in!
How do you improve on a classic? The Children’s Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II keeps the same silhouette and shape that you know and love, with added technology for comfort and durability! Innovative Nike Lunarlon technology now lines the insoles, adding an extra layer of cushioning. Padding has also been added to the non-slip tongue , and super soft micro-suede was added to the lining. The lowtops are priced at $40 – $60, the high-tops $45 – $65. All the Chuck II shoes are available in infant, preschool and grade school sizing.

The same Chuck Taylor shape and style, with added comfort and padding – perfect for kids on the run! Lil Kid chose the new Chuck II white on white color high-top, amazing! Just love Chuck Taylors on kids. I can already see pairing these with shorts, and bright fun colors – the perfect summer shoe!
