Go Fly a Kite – Brooklyn Bridge Kite Festival

photo3

Could there be a better view?

Lil Kid recently attended the Brooklyn Bridge Park Kite Festival!

The Weather – Perfect!
The Kites – Colorful and plenty!
The View – Incredible!

Was such an amazing site.

An annual tradition on Pier 1 in Brooklyn Bridge Park, the festival brings a large happy crowd of all ages.

The kites were also as diverse as the crowds – small, large, plastic, paper, fabric, and even cardboard. You name it, someone was trying to fly it.

We brought our own, but the parks department also offered some kites for sale as well.

The sheer volume was incredible. There were so many kites that many of them were getting tangled together. (ours once got stuck in a tree… daddy to blame on this one).

Just watch the hat!
We had such an amazing experience and will definitely make this a family tradition for years to come.
