Joining the club! We recently attended the ENK Children’s Club show at the Jacob Javits Center. The Children’s Club is a fashion trade show that is held four times a year, and features nearly every category of children’s clothing, from sweaters to suits, casual apparel to shoes, presented in row upon row of beautiful exhibitor booths. The incredible selection is endless!
Children’s specialty retailers and boutiques from across the country visit these booths to discover new trends, brands, and to place orders for the upcoming season. This season, exhibitors were showing their Spring 2017 items.
We were invited to scour the floor to see the best of what will soon be in store, and to help highlight new and existing fun fashion finds. After, we shared these images with Children’s Club for an Instagram take-over. (Check out our finds HERE).
We love attending these shows – as it gives us a glimpse into the trends for the upcoming seasons, as well as new up and coming collections! Also – Lil Kid gets to pick out some new favorites!
Here, a selection of our favorite Kid Picks:
Frenchie Mini Couture collection is always a favorite! From dress to play – they have clothes that are perfect for any day. We swung by their booth to see what’s new.
How doggone cute is this? The pop of orange piping on the shorts ties back brilliantly to the shirt. The texture of these shorts is right on trend, and sits beautifully with the dog icon detail. A pawfect set!
Love this Rad Plaid! You can never have enough plaid in a wardrobe. Love all the plaid and printed woven shirt options at Frenchie Mini Couture. The attention to detail – such as pop color trims make the shirts even more special.
Next we dropped into the Isaac Mizrahi booth! Isaac LOVES color and print, and it really shows through the carefully curated collection of color. Even better – The collection starts at size 2T, perfect for the littlest fashion fans!
What would a good dress shirt be without the perfect tie to top it off? A great children’s bowtie is hard to find. Love Isaac’s happy rainbow selection of colors and prints for boys.
Our first time discovering the amazing brand Lennon + Wolfe. The no-fuss casual grunge aesthetic is great for both boys and girls. Muted colors and comfortable fabrics makes for an amazing casual cool collection for little ones.
Just look at this romper! Supple fabric with casual styling and notch collar makes this an easy choice for any girl or boy to party (or play !) all day. Can I have one in my size?
One of the biggest trends at the show – Patches! The brand Andy and Evan had this trend covered. Love these shirts, and how the patches add so much personality to the clothes. It’s all in the details – and no one is better at the details then Andy and Evan. Love the attention to detail throughout the collection – like the contrast print on sleeves, pocket, and button plackets.
Another huge trend – painterly prints! Happy multi-color paint stroke prints are a must for next season. Love this cute 2-pc set for girls with asymmetrical collar!
A new brand launching this season – Nanette Lepore Girls! As a huge fan of Nanette Lepore, I was excited to see the new girls collection hit the stores. Wow, were these dresses incredible! Beautifully constructed with lots of detail and color- these darling dresses are perfect for any special occasion.
Flower child! Love the trapped petal detail at the hem of this cute flower dress.
The sparkly belt and gorgeous embroidery were stunning.
Another new brand at the show – Angel’s Face! The UK Brand has landed finally in the US. Love their collection of too cute, super soft tutus. And just look at this packaging! All their tutus come in this amazing hat box – a perfect fit for a birthday gift!
Angel’s Face is also known for their famous wing icons. You’ll find the wing on many things – including the back of many of their tees. Such a cute detail, perfect for any little angel or fairy to take flight!
Another new comer to the show – Jordan Craig Kids. The children’s launch collection mimics that of their namesake menswear selections – your mini me can be just as cool as daddy! Love that the Kids collection isn’t gender specific. The line included distressed jackets, cool motorcycle styling, zipper details, bomber jackets, and more.
Another trend seen: Camouflage Prints will be big for next Spring! This cool camo windbreaker jacket is perfect for cool Springtime playtime.
A huge thank you to the Children’s Club for having us. We loved taking time to explore – can’t wait until these amazing fashions hit the store.
