LEGOLAND New York Resort Hotel – Opening

The first LEGOLAND in the North Eastern United States is located in New York’s Hudson Valley, just 60 miles from New York City.  The 150-acre theme park opened in May, and its hotel is located just steps away from all the fun. With 250 rooms over 4 floors, this bricktacular sleepover offers families the ultimate stay and play experience, like never before.

When you arrive at the property, you get a taste of what’s in store. The GIANT LEGO Dragon greets visitors at the entrance. Watch him carefully; he blows steam out of his nostrils every hour!

LEGOLAND New York Resort Hotel – Amenities

There are 5-gazillion things to do at the LEGOLAND Hotel! Meet LEGO characters, enjoy nightly entertainment in the lobby, build with a Master Builder, and more.

All the awesomeness starts with the lobby! Upon entry, you will see the Castle Play Space, an epic two-story LEGO castle structure that is made for play. Guarded by the Blackbeard LEGO figure, you can crawl inside and under the castle, build on the walls and play in the “ocean” of LEGOS.

The castle is just the beginning. There are two restaurants, a bricktacular outdoor pool to splash in, an arcade, and creative workshops. Little ones will love the nightly children’s entertainment and visits from LEGO characters.

Make a splash – at the LEGOLAND New York Pool! The outdoor pool has ample space to play, cabana-style seating, a snack bar, and of course, all the necessary accessories for children’s safety, such as life preservers. The pool has a zero entry area for little kids and is 4 1/2 feet at its deepest.

The LEGOLAND hotel offers two restaurants on site. The Bricks Family Restaurant offers a free breakfast buffet for hotel guests only. During dinner, the meals are served a la carte family style. The Skyline Cafe is located in the lobby area near the Castle structure and offers lunch and dinner options a la carte. Skyline Cafe also has alcoholic beverages for purchase for parents.

Don’t miss the LEGO Shop! Located right in the lobby, the shop has a great selection of LEGO goodies. This is also where you will find necessities; toiletries, childcare products, bottled water and drink selections, packaged snacks, and basic medical supplies.

If you have visited a LEGOLAND resort, you know of the famous Disco elevator. Do not fret, friends; YES the epic elevator is dancing through the floors here at LEGOLAND New York! In fact, there are 3 of them!

LEGOLAND New York Resort Hotel – Rooms

When booking a room, guests can choose from one of four themes — Pirate, Kingdom, LEGO Friends, or LEGO Ninjago. We booked the Kingdom room, which was fit for a king – the royal decor was truly amazing. The decor started in the hotel hallways – with themed carpet and fun LEGO characters. Upon walking into the room, you will first notice the immersive character-filled murals stretched from the ceiling to the floor. It’s truly surreal; we felt like we had stepped into a LEGO movie!

It’s all in the details.  The ice bucket? A LEGO head. The soap? Shaped like a LEGO brick, of course! The rooms are incredibly detailed and so fun to explore. Each room also has a small refrigerator, a Keurig machine (with coffee and Hot Chocolate pods for the kids) as well as two water bottles and juice boxes, and LEGO-themed toiletries.

Adults Keep Out! The rooms have been created with kids (and fun!) in mind. There’s a separate royal sleeping area just for kids — complete with a bunk bed, trundle bed, their own TV, and a big bin of LEGOS to build with.

Even more fun – a treasure hunt! Hidden in each hotel room are clues that will unlock the spell-filled treasure chest in your room.  Simply fill out the treasure hunt to unlock your treasure!

In the room you will also find the new contactless programming, including the innovative Next Generation Sleepover experience (a Google Nest named Alice can do anything from place a room service order to tell you an immersive bedtime story).

LEGOLAND New York Theme Park

There’s more to explore next door – the epic LEGOLAND New York Theme Park, of course! You are at the gate just a few steps from the hotel to the entrance. It could not be easier, or closer.

Inside the gate, the park takes children and their families on a journey across seven themed areas.

Ride highlights not to miss:

The LEGO Factory Adventure Ride, brand new and exclusive to LEGOLAND New York, invites guests to join the madcap Professor Brick in his marvelous LEGO Factory, as they shrink to miniature size to witness the colorful creation process of a LEGO brick.

The signature LEGOLAND Park ride, The Dragon. This iconic roller coaster twists and turns past the red dragon and into the skies above. (So fun!)

LEGO NINJAGO, is a state-of-the-art ride in which guests use hand-gesture technology to blast animated fireballs and lightning at a sinister gallery of villains.

Exploring all five boroughs in five minutes at MINILAND, where New York’s most iconic landmarks (and more!) have been recreated in LEGO brick form.
