Stylish and Moderrn Guest Rooms

The Room

All 324 rooms are considered suites at The Kartrite. For our family of 3 we stayed in the Junior Suite Double Queen, which consisted of 2 Queen beds and plenty of space for our needs. Another option is the (very popular) Family King Bunk Suite – which consist of a King Bed and 2 Bunk beds, or the even larger 2 or 3 bedroom suites with complete separate bedrooms and additional bathrooms in a room together.  Every room option at the resort includes a small desk area, refrigerator, microwave and Keurig coffee maker.

All guests are given an electronic bracelet upon check-in. The bracelet is your key to the hotel! Use your bracelet to access your room (no key!), the pool area, and even pay for food at some restaurants/gift shops.

Hungry Bellies have plenty of options at The Kartrite

Dining

Kartrite offers tiers of dining options, from fine dining to snack bars.  Harvey’s Wallbanger is great for a quick drink or a bite to eat. Get your caffeine fix at The Highline coffee shop on the lobby floor that also offers a selection of pastries and small meals. Eat.Eat.Eat. is the resorts buffet option, and Bixby’s Derby offers fine cuisine (and as such it is suggested to make reservations). We loved how all options were stylish and modern in design. Not all dining options are open for all meals – check the schedule for complete details.

Water Park Fun

Perfect for both couples who want a retreat and adventurous families, the indoor waterpark is home to 11 different aquatic attractions that hold something for everyone. The world’s largest transparent Texlon roof encloses this tropical paradise, which is heated to a consistent summer temperature of 84 degrees year-round. It was warm and inviting, sparkling clean, and beautifully decorated with tropical greens surrounding the attractions.

Little ones (as well as the big adult kids!) loved Kartrite Beach – a massive water adventure that has a giant water bucket and 3 waterslides. It was a spectacular wonderland of water exploration.

Running through the middle of the Waterpark is Empire Bay, Kartrite’s  lazy river. The perfect place to relax and ride the currents, Empire Bay was an easy family favorite during our trip. We literally spent hours on this fun attraction.

Just look at this incredible slide! The grand-daddy of all thrill rides at the kartrite is the Nor’easter. This massive slide sits up to 4 guests and twists and turns them into a storm of wet and wild fun.

Hanging ten on the Flowrider! This fun surf simulator allows riders to catch a wave and hang on as long as they can. Our little guy LOVED this ride. It was fun to see so many families give it a try, and watch the kids master tricks so easily.

Swim up an appetite? There’s The grab and go Surfside Grille located in the pool area and has everything from pizza to burgers to chicken fingers, and a few sandwich options.  The pool area is also home to Bar Mez – a rooftop cantina that serves a small menu and has a gorgeous view overlooking the entire pool area.

One of our favorite things about the waterpark was that it didn’t feel too crowded – the size was manageable in comparison to other waterparks we have visited. It was easy explore and navigate, and it offered enough variety for all ages and abilities. We also loved the extended hours, the waterpark is open from 9am-9pm daily, giving everyone ample time to play. Towels and lifejackets were plentiful, and fun cabana rentals are available as well.

Game time is fun time with the huge selection of games

If your family is like our family, game time is fun time while on vacation. The Kartrite offers not just one, but two separate “Playopolis” gaming areas with nearly every kind of arcade game you can think of! Everything from traditional games like skee-ball to high-tech digital games of skill can be found here. Win big on tickets and cash them in for Kartrite Resort prizes in the aptly named “Vault” prize room (which was one of the most impressive arcade prize selections ever seen!).

An elevated aadventure on the high flying rope course

Elevated Adventures

Aside from the waterpark and arcades, the Kartrite offers a climbing wall, laser tag, mini bowling alley and virtual reality games. There is also an incredible Carabiners ropes course & zipline for a daring adventure. Strap in and be suspended above it all, while you conquer the obstacles. Participants must be 48″ tall to go alone or 42″ if accompanied by a parent. Read more about Kartrite’s indoor adventure options here.

S’mores and More

Come night fall the outdoor grass common area has S’mores by the bonfire (kit for $5), and all day there are free and fun lawn games for the kids (toss game, connect four, and Jenga).  There is also a wood playground structure with a rope “spider web” and many balance beam and agility challenges that the kids loved.  The large grass courtyard is a great spot for families. With ample seating and space to play – perfect for gathering and lounging in the great outdoors.

Daily Activities

The Kartrite offers a wide array of resort activities and entertainment daily for their guests. Coloring and crafts happen daily, and there’s live entrainment, storytelling guided nature hikes, family game nights, and super fun scavenger hunts through the property. Don’t miss the morning doughnut decorating – a crowd favorite!
