The ABC Store has all the essentials. And for the coffee lovers in your crew, there is not one, but two convenient Starbucks locations right in the resort.

Pools and Recreation: Hilton Hawaiian Village

Get ready to make a splash! The resort features five amazing pools, including the 10,000-square-foot Super Pool and the exciting multi-tiered Paradise Pool with waterfalls and a poolside water slide. For a more peaceful retreat, guests of The Ali’i Tower can enjoy a private pool area with a serene atmosphere. Of course, no visit would be complete without spending time on Waikiki’s widest (and most beautiful!) stretch of beach—just steps from your room. Prefer calm waters for little ones? The Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon is a gentle, saltwater haven perfect for paddling, swimming, or simply relaxing under a shady umbrella (more on the lagoon below!).

For those looking to immerse themselves in Hawaiian culture, the resort offers an array of cultural activities and classes. Guests can start their day with beachfront yoga sessions designed to harmonize body and spirit against a backdrop of ocean waves. Learn to strum traditional island tunes in a fun and beginner-friendly ukulele class, or dive into Hawaiian heritage with lei-making and hula lessons. All activties are included for guests! They are wonderful hands-on experiences and a meaningful way to connect to the islands.

The Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon: Chill, Paddle, Repeat

Right next to the beach (and named after Hawaii’s legendary surfer), this calm, five-acre lagoon is the ultimate water playground for families. The protected shallow waters with no-waves are ideal for young swimmers and anyone new to water activities.  Rent a stand-up paddleboard, pedal boat, or aqua cycle right from the beach hut or simply enjoy the view from the sand. Prefer to lounge? Grab a beach chair or a shady umbrella and soak it all in. It is the only saltwater lagoon in Waikiki, and a peaceful slice of paradise that offers fun for everyone. We loved the lagoon and spent many hours here. Our advice – rent the bikes! They are so fun for all ages.

Waikiki Starlight Luau: A Cultural Celebration

No trip to Hilton Hawaiian Village is complete without experiencing the Waikiki Starlight Luau, held under the stars on the Great Lawn, just steps from the lagoon. This lively celebration of Hawaiian culture features traditional music, hula performances, and electrifying fire dancing. Your ticket includes a delicious buffet dinner and unlimited drinks, so you can sip and savor all evening long. It’s a fantastic event for families—kids can enjoy hands-on cultural activities like lei-making and temporary Polynesian tattoos before the show begins. There’s even a dedicated kids’ buffet filled with familiar favorites, so even the pickiest little guests leave happy (and full). The show is fantasitc, and the fire dancing was phenomenal. A must-see!

Friday Night Fireworks – Hilton Hawaiian Village

Every Friday evening at 7:45 p.m., guests and visitors alike are treated to a spectacular fireworks display that lights up the Waikiki sky—a beloved Hilton Hawaiian Village tradition since 1988. The show launches just beside the Rainbow Tower, adjacent to the lagoon and mere steps from the luau lawn. Whether you’re relaxing on the beach, strolling through the resort, or dining al fresco, the fireworks add a magical, can’t-miss finale to the week—and best of all, it’s completely free.
