Hitting the Road with Mickey – Disney on Ice Road Trip Adventures

Who’s ready for a road trip? We recently hit the road with Mickey and his friends for a high-octane ride in Disney On Ice presents Road Trip Adventures.  Disney on Ice combines the incredible talents of world-class ice skaters and heart warming Disney stories, lavish costumes, dazzling lighting, and enchanting music to create an extraordinary show for families across the world. A magical trip to Disney without a plane ticket – this amazing theatrical performance is one not to miss.

The show was filled with scenes from some of Disney’s newest films including the live-action Aladdin, The Lion King and Mary Poppins Returns, the audience participated in help Woody and Buzz find their missing friend and watch Moana set out on her grand adventure. nd all during the show the audience was singing and at the edge of their seats. It was terrific and one of the best shows I’ve seen. Our group LOVED it.

Truth time: I haven’t been to a Disney on Ice show since I was a child. I came into the show with pretty much zero idea on what to expect, and low excitement. I (stupidly) thought that it would be some ice dancing and a few thousand children screaming.
Boy – was I wrong! The show blew. me, away. An innovative mix of Broadway caliber performances, jaw dropping magical surprises and even participatory activities for the audience, the show was (quite) far from the ice dancing performance I was envisioning. This was epic, and beyond anything I could have imagined.  The best part – The show has found a way to brilliantly create a multi-generational experience that transcends across all ages. EVERYONE in the audience was singing along, smiling and totally enjoying the evening.
What we really loved – that the show was fully immersive,  participatory and innovative. It involved the entire audience,  and no matter where you were sitting it was a great seat. How awesome is that? This, coupled with the incredible stunts, unexpected hijinks and up-close character interaction, made the show special and memorable for the entire audience.

Extra Magic on Ice

As with anything Disney – there is always extra magical experiences! Guests can get in the action at Disney On Ice presents Road Trip Adventure in the all new Extra Magic Zone. Premium seats in the Extra Magic Zone offer VIP views and special access to the Disney On Ice magic. Magical surprises can happen at any time in the Extra Magic Zone, like being part of a Disney story or riding in the Magic Mobile vehicle during the show!

Tips for your Visit:

  • Just because you can’t afford the top-tiered tickets means it’s not worth it. The ice rink is large and the cast does a great job utilizing the entire space. Almost all seats have a good view of the ice rink.
  • Make sure to dress warmly. It is an ICE show, and thus it needs to be cold.
  • There are lots of souvenir stands selling everything from themed popcorn buckets, fun glow sticks, to stuffed animal friends. Be prepared.
  • There is one intermission for snacks. drinks, or bathroom breaks.
