Every now and then you meet someone whose talent and brilliance blows you away. Someone who is so incredibly personable and kind, that they resonate with you long after you meet.
That person is Lindsay Cook, the talented and brilliant photographer of Classic Kids Upper East Side.

I wish I could bottle Lindsay’s energy and passion and take it with me. She is infectious and an absolute delight to be around. As if you were meeting with an old friend you have known for years- she makes you feel immediately at ease, and comfortable.
Which is exactly why she is a fabulous family photographer! Children are immediately drawn to her. She is incredible with kids and brilliant to watch. I have been to other photography studios before with my son with horrible results. He was visibly uncomfortable and didn’t want to be there, and even begged me to never go back. A painful experience that I still regret.
The complete and utter opposite happened with Classic Kids. Within minutes Lindsay was rolling around on the floor and had my guy laughing hysterically. From telling secrets, tickle time, silly elephant drawings and magic finds – it felt more like a play date than a photo session! They were playing games, being silly, and having an absolute blast. They were like best buds. He loved her, and didn’t want to leave.
The sheer joy shows through the photos. Each smile is genuine. The laughter, real. The happy experience that was captured makes the photos sing – they are stunning, and above all, real.
The entire team were rock stars. The photo assistants were eager, and wanting to help – and even acted out zoo animals at one point during our session! It was a party!
The studio is as welcoming as Lindsay! . Beautifully displayed previous works, lit candles, easy music. It was a calm reprieve from the crazy city.
The studio’s mascot – Lexington the dog! (Lex for short!) Lex was a big it with every kid!
I’ll never forget our experience. As my son has asked a couple times if he could go back, I don’t think he will forget either.
Decisions, decisions, decisions…..
But of course -The fun doesn’t end with the session!
A few days later we came back to review the proofs. From just a mini session, Lindsay came with a STACK of captures. They were amazing. From artistic captures with brilliant shadowing and angels – to action shots with jumps and movement, to perfectly placed smiles, she captured my son beautifully. What I really loved is that she made sure to give us a selection of style options. Some were great for an artistic taste, others more sweet for grandmas and family, she ( quite brilliantly) thought to capture something for everyone, and all gifting needs. I will warn you though – with so many incredible options – the choice was not easy. But Lindsay helped me through each step of the way – and I was able to leave the studio feeling confident that I could check things off (my long!) Christmas present list.

I love that Classic Kids is a high quality artistic studio. They are perfectionists. They do not push prints, they create fine works of art.
Once you make your selections from the proofs – you can option to print the photos on cotton paper. They are museum quality, and spectacular.
