Hitting a Home Run of Fun at Mets Stadium!
We recently brought Lil Kid to his (first ever!) baseball game at Mets Stadium. We visited on a Mets Family Sunday – taking advantage of the fun Mr. Met Dash, and other family incentives. Sad we hadn’t done this earlier – we had such an amazing time. This is one incredible experience not to be missed!
Lil Kid, Big Stadium. He couldn’t wait to see his first game!
Citfield is beautiful, and one of the most family friendly stadiums in Major League Baseball. It is modern, sleek, and with conveinces like family bathrooms, games, and more – its a wonderful place for families to explore!
Our view! Citi Field actually has a pretty great view from any seat. We were up in the bleachers but felt like it was a great spot for us. – wow what a view! You could easily take in the game, and all the action.
Lil Kid couldn’t get enough of the incredible score board game from the stands…. doesn’t he look like the Mets biggest fan?!

Kids are invited to run the bases at Citi Field after every Sunday home game for free! What a cool opportunity for kids to meet their favorite mascot and practice home run sprint skills (and how cool that they are allowed down on the actual field!)
The Mr. Met Dash, as one would imagine, is insanely popular! Fair warning – the line gets quite long. Hot Tip: Join the Mets Kids Club to get amazing benefits, including a VIP shorter line and first entry for the Mr. Met dash.
In addition to the VIP line, The Mets Kids Club gives you free home game tickets (on certain days), cheering batons, a backpack sack, a Mr. Mets poster, and more (definitely worth the $40 just to avoid the line!)
Headed in! The entry for the Mr. Met Dash is outside of the stadium. You simply line up and wait to be let in for the run. You will then be lead through the underbelly of the stadium itself, on an amazing behind the scenes tour of sorts, that winds the crowd to the field. “Wow mom where am I?” A very cool insider experience.
The rules: Only age 12 and under, little ones must hold hands, keep off restricted areas of the field, and most importantly – have fun!
