A green thumb I have not! But hopefully Lil Kid’s thumb is greener than mine.
Being New York City – we of course do not have backyards to grow from. We are however lucky enough to have a terrace on our apartment and made due with a few small flowers beds. So we are going for a (very) mini garden.
A mini garden for a mini man.
The selection: Carrots, Radishes, Beans, and Cucumbers. (Or as little kid likes to call them – “Pickles!”).
All are of the “mini” variety and – at least the package states – all only require a certain depth of soil.
We also planted some grass seed and flowers.
Seeing an opportunity to buy more cheesy toys – I got Lil Man his own gardening set – including a ridiculously cute watering can, gardening fork, rake and sheers.
He loved planting the seeds and playing in the mud. Watering was equally exciting.
Let’s hope this chore remains fun throughout.
