On Friday, July 4, 2025, Macy’s will host its 49th annual Fireworks display live from the Brooklyn Bridge and East River, lighting up the New York City skyline with over 80,000 shells, and jaw dropping dazzling effects, alongside star-studded performances. Macys Fireworks: Musical Performances
Not just the stars in the sky – the star power for the epic celebration will be hosted by Academy Award-winner Ariana DeBose, and features live performances by:
- Jonas Brothers
- Eric Church
- Lenny Kravitz
- Ava Max
- Keke Palmer
- Trisha Yearwood
These electrifying acts will perform live from The Rooftop at Pier 17 ahead of the fireworks celebration.The fireworks will be choreographed to a 25-minute musical score curated and produced by Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson and James Poyser. The soundtrack features an inspiring mix of iconic hits and patriotic anthems that span genres and decades, aiming to celebrate unity, joy, and resilience.

NEW for 2025: First-Ever Brooklyn Bridge Spectacle
In a new twist for 2025, both the East and West towers of the Brooklyn Bridge will become a dramatic canvas for large-scale projection mapping. This is the first time an architectural projection of this magnitude will be included in the fireworks show—creating a fully immersive visual experience for both live audiences and viewers at home.

NEW for 2025: Pyrotechnic Highlights
This year’s Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks promises an unforgettable spectacle, produced by Macy’s Studios in collaboration with Pyro Spectaculars by Souza. The show will feature 11 brand-new effects, including dazzling crackling crown jellyfish, atomic rings, strobing lemon cascades, and vibrant yellow and green sunbursts. With more than 80,000 shells bursting in 30 vivid colors, the pyrotechnic display will soar up to 1,000 feet above the East River, launched from the Brooklyn Bridge and four barges positioned between Pier 17 and the Downtown Manhattan Heliport. Expect a night of sky-high wonder, culminating in a showstopper: the Macy’s Golden Mile grand finale.

Macy’s Fireworks 2025: Viewing Information
Public viewing will be available from any spot with an unobstructed view of the lower East River, particularly near the Seaport District. The City of New York will also announce details for a lottery-based free public viewing ticket program in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!
