We recently attended the Paul Frank Circus Jumble Spring/Summer 2016 Fashion Show during New York Fashion Week.
Officially Lil Kid’s first fashion show, we were excited to be invited. After hearing it was a circus theme, Lil Kid was elated.
And what a show it was. It will be had to ever top this!
Held at the Hudson Mercantile, the space was brilliantly decorated to rival any big top I’ve seen before. Chic circus stripes and golden twinkling lights were just the beginning.
Walking through the drapes you were greeted by larger than life stilt walkers. Lil Kid loved getting a high five from the spectacularly tall friends as we made our way inside.

Next we came upon incredible Arial Acrobatic performance. Twisting on silks and hoops, the performance felt right out of a Cirque du Soleil show.

From carnival games, balloon twisters, and face painters – the Fashion Show activities easily outshined any typical circus. Lil Kid was in heaven.

Beyond the activities there were also enough treats and snacks choices to please any audience. From candy bars to retro popcorn machines, and lollipops to ice cream socials, the sugar level was as high as the energy in the room.
Like a kid in a candy store, he loved it.

Next, it was show time.
Zebras, Tigers, and sequins – oh my! What a show it was.
Playful colors and designs took center ring.
Wildly adorable Pink tiger prints for girls, and fierce orange and blue stripes for boys looked fresh and new. Sporty elements such as retro running shorts and stripes gave the collection a casual athelesiure undertone.
Metallic zebra stripe polka dots prints paired with adorable can-I-please-have-these-in-my-size sequin shorts were easy favorites.

The clothes – incredible.
The children – adorable.
The scene – spectacular. Especially with celebrities Rachel Zoe and Coco Rocha in attendance.
But who needs celebrities when you have popcorn?
It may have been the most incredible show on earth.
