Now an annual affair, this fabulous flower spectacular features a huge assortment of flowers and exotic topiaries from all around the world brilliantly displayed throughout Macy’s Herald Square. Arranged by renowned horticulturalists, this popular show creates ginormous urban sanctuaries of flowers, trees, plants, and more, allowing for visitors to walk through a flowery wonderland when visiting the store. This year’s spectacular theme: A Carnival Scene! Feast your eyes on millions of blooms, replica rides and even a carousel with horses that glide! What a show! An amazing experience – for floral fans of all ages.

Macy’s Flower Show Carnival – Main Event
The Grand Carousel Garden
The magnificent main event of this year’s show is the Grand Carousel Garden near the Broadway entrance. This twirling spectacle includes a stripe canopy and gliding horses that encircle the entry. Visitors to the main event will feel as if they have stepped inside a whimsical carousel, gazing at the intricate carousel horses (and other animal friends) from within.

A few of the stunning carousel horses that surround it. Here – a mer-horse! Each of the horses move up and down to mimic the movement of an actual carousel.
Ticket Booth Garden
The grand ticket booth stands in the center of the millions of floral blooms on the first floor.
The Archway Gardens
Multiple archways extend over the center aisle pathway of the main floor and are a perfect welcome to the show! Each archway has a different theme – be sure to look at the magic happening on top – there are carnival game icons, squirting clowns, mini roller-coasters, and other fun to be found!

A Barrel of Fun
Part of the fun and games garden – the barrel of fun exhibit. This fun loving barrel dressed people bop up and down.
Flower Show Photo Opp
Love the Flower Show stand-in that replicates a clown train! Step right up (and behind) for a fun picture inside.
Bumper & Blooms
Macy’s put the “petal to the metal” for these awesome bumper cars filled with blooms!

Located in the Thrills garden – the Ferris wheel features a number of plants and blooms, and stands as the main attraction of the center carnival near to the escalators.

Scent-sational Garden
This years annual fabulous flower event includes amazing interactive installations of smells and scents.
Visitors can discover a world of fascinating fragrance through sight, sound, virtual reality, and mood matching – including this amazing floral wall where visitors are able to smell flowers and scents from around the globe.

Macy’s Flower Show Carnival – Tunnel of Love
Tunnel of Love
Fall in love (and get the best view from the show from above) in the Tunnel of Love exhibit on the balcony level.
Overlooking the entire show – Macy’s has created a tunnel of love by placing larger than life hearts on either side of the path, and lining it with blushing pink and azaleas.

Macy’s Flower Show Carnival – 7th Floor
During your visit – don’t forget to check out the other floor exhibits! Up in the Children’s department on the 7th Floor you can say hello to Dino, the friendly dinosaur from Sinclair oil! Climb aboard his cart and take a dino-terrifc photo opp.
There are a few other family fun surprrises in store – including this fun carnival themed stand-in and a toss game where you can test your skill and try to win! All are located on the 7th floor.
Macy’s Flower Show Carnival – Basement Level
In the basement level is the Girl Scouts garden. This interactive garden shows that when everyone rolls up their sleeves and gets involved—like a Girl Scout—communities bloom! The display features a working water pump that feeds a giant flower, allowing it to blossom. Our little guy loved the working water pump – great for younger children and girl scouts of all ages.
Macy’s Flower Show Carnival – Windows
Macy’s flower show windows are definitely not a side show – and are a must visit in itself. These windows are SPECTACULAR and rival those seen during the holidays.
The festive flower windows are on the Broadway side of the store, and include carnival scenes and are literally covered in thousands and thousands of flowers and botanical plants.

Our son loved the Strange and Unreal window with jiggling topiary mustache!
Possibly the most spectacular window is the oddities scene – with a circus performer riding a unicycle across a tight rope across a surreal scene.
Step right over to Macy’s folks – this show is a must see.
