Tap, Dance, and Go – HSBC Tap and Go Cards

Tap, dance, and GO! A group of professional dancers surprised New Yorkers with a flash mob performance featuring Tap Dancing! The INCREDIBLE flash mob gathered near Bryant Park and the neighboring 4,5,6 MTA subway line entrance for the performance. Why the dancing feet? To show spectators just how easy it is to tap to pay with contactless cards from HSBC.
A crowd quickly gathered and watched the action. Seriously – don’t you just love NYC?!

How amazing is this?
The flash mob put on three amazing, separate performances. The group of dancers included professional tap dancers and non-tap dancers to show just how quick and convenient the it is to tap and go at MTA Stations. Such an amazing experience to witness a flash mob in person!
Does your credit card have this technology? Most don’t! Other issuers are rushing to distribute contactless cards to customers, and some are only in select markets such as New York. We leanered that ALL HSBC credit and debit cards are already contactless enabled since 2015,  allowing for a seamless and quick experience at subway turnstiles (or where ever your adventures may take you!).
How does it work? You simply tap your card on the reader, and you are ready to enter – that’s it! No more rummaging for metro cards, refilling them at the machines, or swiping to find out you have a empty card and end up missing your train (this happens to me WEEKLY). This convenient, contactless payment option allows you to enjoy a fast and seamless experience when commuting.
This is the ONLY way you will ever want to pay again. A game changer for New York commuters…But this is not just for trains! Contactless is a simple, easy and quick way to make purchases with an HSBC credit or debit card – HSBCs credit and debit cards work with contactless merchants worldwide.

By the way – if you are ever near the corner of 40th and 5th, be sure to stop in this gorgeous HSBC Branch. There’s even a fun robot friend:

Say hi to Pepper! She not only greets all guests, she waves to them! (Asked after we left: “Mom can we get a Pepper in our apartment?”).

Only in New York friends!

Thank you HSBC for an EPIC New York performance, and for making our daily commute (and overall shopping experience) so much more convenient! Find our more about their cards HERE.
