Walking through a Target Wonderland

photo2

Lil Kid getting the party started at the Incredible Target Wonderland Pop-Up in New York!

Part toy store, part holiday playground – Target Wonderland is a treat for all ages!

Wonderland has one goal in mind – to re-imagine holiday shopping. Numerous interactive experiences – all inspired by toys – where seen throughout the pop-up. From toy trial experiences (drones!) to larger than life memories (10 foot etch a sketch!) Each one fun, memorable, digitally advanced, and different from the rest! A brilliant idea that had my son (and myself!) engaged and smiling with joy.

Each customer who enters receives a lanyard with a digital RFID code on it. This code is scanned multiple times throughout the experience with photographers, allowing Target to seamlessly pass you all photographs and memories without hassle. Additionally, customers may scan these codes on products as they walk through the experience to create a holiday shopping list to either purchase on site or to be retrieved later from the comfort of your own home.

Such a treat! Lil Kid being handed some sugary delights upon entering the Target Experience.

Arms Up! The interactive Snow-and-Roll was snow much fun. The digital body-movement triggered game was a fun experience.

Ball Pit!

A deep snowy ball pit surrounded the S.S. Free Shipping Lego ship (as famously seen in Target’s Holiday commercials). Lil Kid jumped right in to this fun exhibit.

He could have stayed in the ball pit all day!

Incredible hulk fist bump tree!

Drone test flights! Such a great idea to allow guests to test drive this incredibly popular toy. (I myself have never even flown a drone, so Lil Kid is beyond me already!)

photo3 (2)

Although not great at flying, (Lil Kid almost took off the head of one nice Target worker as they entered to retrieve a second drone in the netted area) he LOVED flying these neat machines.

Conference calls with Santa from the North Pole! Santa was amazing, and spent a long time in each of his “meetings” with children and adults alike. Much better than a lap and a line. Such a unique digital experience!

Where’s Lil Kid? The fun wall of stuffed animals was great fun!

Lil Kid didn’t want to leave the larger than life Etch-a-Sketch!

A couple of Etchy-Sketchy characters!

Package pickup was not to be boring either – Santa’s “arm” reaches down from the chimney to deliver your purchases! Amazing.

Thank you Target Wonderland for such an incredibly fun experience!
